SCORE: Iowa Hawkeyes 94 – 87 LSU
LOCATION: MVP Areana, Albany, N.Y
SHORT STORY:
The Iowa Hawkeyes were not only coming in confident off that victory against Colorado. They were also looking to avenge the loss of last season to the LSU Tigers. When the game began Iowa got off to a fast start. With a 17-9 lead, and of course Caitlin Clarke was leading the way with eight points. Forcing the LSU Tigers to take a timeout.
Going into the second half of this game LSU, and IOWA where playing tight. The game was going down to the wire. The theme for this game was Iowa going on runs. Which the Hawkeyes preceded to do with a 10-4 run. Forcing the Tigers to call a timeout. What was most notable at this point of the game was that Hailey Van Lith who was guarding Clarke. Hailey was having trouble containing Clark. Whom by this point had 25 points, and a mirage of assist. By this point the game would be to far out of reach for LSU. When the game was over Clarke had finished with 41 points, and Iowa had defeated LSU 94-87.
