The UAlbany Women’s Basketball team start off conference play with a win over Vermont 64-55 at the Broadview center. The Great Danes got off to a fast start. Building a huge lead to 26 point’s in the second quarter.

Although the Great Danes did not shoot well from three they got the job done in the paint Outscoring the Catamounts 40-22. Vermont had no answer for two players in particular. Kayla Cooper, and Kaci Donovan.

Cooper got whatever she wanted on the night. Scoring 17 points on 50% shooting. Kaci Donovan would be the “right hook to Cooper’s right hand”. Dazzling the defense with her in-and-out crossover, and patented fade away.

While Kayla Cooper, and Kaci where dominating all Great Danes players stepped up. Jessica Tomasetti was the steady hand that kept the Great Danes offense flowing. Delanie Hill made the most out of her minutes. The entire UAlbany offense was on full display.

Following the lose Vermont’s Head Coach, Alisa Kresge would address the press. Calling it a game of two half’s. Coach Kresage suggested that there were certain players “who got it, and certain players who didn’t. Stating that some tuff decisions where on the horizon.
