Columbia waked into the Great Danes den 8-0 in their conference. While The Great Danes where 5-3. From the start of the game UAlbany MBB set the tone from deep shooting 46% from deep. Not just relying on three point shooting every member from UAlbany set the tone defensively. Never allowing Columbia to gain momentum.
Another great sign for the Great Danes was Justin Neely being inserted into the starting line up. After facing two season of battling injuries the Miami native look poised to seize the moment. Neely lead the team in points in rebounds. Justin finished the game with 18 points, and 13 Rebounds.
Another key to the Great Danes victory over Columbia was ball movement, and play making. Amar’e Marshall and Byron Joshua led the team with seven assists each.
