“Maybe we need have better games and not better practices”
– Coach Patsos

VermontComing into the game, this was clearly a test, as they hosted the top team in the American East Conference in Vermont. For the most part Siena matched up well as they began they kept up with Vermont only being down by 6, by halftime (36-30). Even though that was the positive note going into the half, it was also the only positive note going into the half. Once the half was over and they resumed play, Siena matched there intensity but could not break down the lead/ get closer then within 6, and as time went Vermont started to build a bigger lead, at the 11:57 they had build the lead up by 7 and by the 7:51 mark they had built up there biggest lead by 15. From there they never looked back, as Vermont defeated Siena 76-60. After the game, Coach Patsos vented his frustration as he stated that whenever Vermont made a shot and they missed and then Vermont went down and made another shot, guys were standing around like they didn’t have an answer. Also Coach Patsos made it clear that guys were not passionate enough and that if he has to play some of the young guys the whole game he will and that he will be having talks with some of his starters to see where they are at and how they feel, because there will be some changes. As Siena begins this new year, they will have to figure it out, as they fell to 4-9 and it will not be any easier, with conference play right around the corner for the new year. They will have to go on a run, if they want to have any chance of getting into the tournament, only time will tell stay tuned!
